Last day of May

And what a day it was. I want to really cherish every day I have, but this one I could have done without and would like to forget as soon as possible. Let's just say that very dusty old stuff came flying out of my childhood closet and covered my two sweet girls. And I could not protect them from this far away. Very painful. Luckily I had some sweet people who called me to chat, a wise friend who emailed me, and a great neighbor who unexpectedly brought over some amazingly delicious homemade brownies that were to die for. Not on my diet, but ate them nonetheless, followed by a glass of guiltless non-fat milk. Amazing medicine!

And I tried to keep busy. I knitted, I loved my doggies and I made a photo of the yarn I will use for my mystery bag KAL. I like these colors better than the ones I picked originally. Threw out that purple. Not for me. Two more weeks before the first clue is posted, so in the meantime, I am finishing my silk wrap with glass beads, and my pink TyDy socks.

Bear 747 is about to get on the train with the girls, direction Amsterdam, where she will be delivered in person to my dear friend Jet. I hope to see some images of the exchange!

Now a chill pill and a dark night and a new day in the morning.

New puppies on the way

As some of you already know, Bella is pregnant again. We now refer to her as Octobella, courtesy of my Pen Pal Robert Silverstein.
She is due around June 15th, and if the current size of her belly is any indication, she is going to prove the vet wrong once again. Three or four? I think not!

I keep knitting like crazy, even though it is heating up here in the Sacto area. Pretty soon I will have to just stick to small projects, or they will start sticking to me. Have some cool socks in the works, and some other ones lined up, including some Harry Potter socks. Now I am not at all a HP fan, never read one of the books, never saw the movies, etc. But the yarn is pretty cool, and I know Emlyn read all the books, so she is getting the socks. They have yellow in them, so that should make her happy.

Speaking of Emlyn - she and Lauren left Tuesday morning for Belgium. I miss them like crazy!
They have a blog: http://mctravel2009.blogspot.com/

Almost weekend, meaning unlimited hours for tennis viewing (Roland Garros) and knitting.
Yeah!

First try

This is my very first attempt at blogging. I have no idea yet how this works, but will figure it out as I go along, just as I have done with all things on the Internets.

Just for laughs and giggles, I am adding a picture of Georgie, the cutest of all puppies. He was one of the Fab Four that were born this past November. I miss him so much!
